As some of you might know, I love taking photos. Tonight was a rather good thunderstorm over Oslo. It came in from the north-west a couple of hours ago and it’s still somehow here, although most of it has left. It was quite spectacular and the sound of the lightning striking some hundred meters away was rather nice.
The other pics that I chose from the show are here: http://karlsbakk.net/bilder/webgal/Torden Juli 2008/ if anyone would be interested.
Hopefully the weather won’t fry my laptop tonight…

Just came back from a trip to the little cabin Typstua at lake Bæreia near Kongsvinger with a couple of friends. Weather was mostly good and we got very little fish (five small perches we never managed even to eat), but we had a good time getting eaten by midges and mosquitos and drinking not entirely healthy amounts of beer. Above is a picture of a tiny island inhabited by several hundred seagulls and terns. That “noise” at the right isn’t noise, but some of the birds currently circulating around our boat, sounding rather angry. This being 5km south of Kongsvinger, the seagulls shouldn’t be there in the first place, but that’s global warming for you….

Now – new blog, perhaps a few more pictures and maybe even a little more fun.
After having had an old boring HTML 3.02 page hand-written in vim. There are info on that page that might be missing here, technical stuff about The Asterisk PBX and CallWeaver, some Nagios plugins and photo stuff like how to calculate the focal length for a normal lens according to film size. The old homepage will remain available for some time in, in case people would need anything from there.
